A Feb. 10 bomb threat to Twin Cities Academy led to classes being canceled for the day.

Classes were canceled at Twin Cities Academy in St. Paul after a phoned-in bomb threat.

The school, which serves students grades 6-12, was evacuated around 10:15 a.m. when an anonymous call was received saying “the school is going to blow up in 10 minutes.” This is according to Toy Vixayvong, public information officer with the St. Paul Police Department.

Vixayvong said police did a thorough sweep of the school grounds and found no evidence of explosives. But as a precaution and due to the disruption, administrators at the academy made the decision to cancel classes for the remainder of the day. It is not clear if classes will resume tomorrow. A call has been made to the school and we are awaiting a response.

According to Vixayvong, the call is impossible to trace due to the method in which it was made. The St. Paul Police Department is investigating the threat.
