Great River Water Park in Oxford Community Center


Great River Water Park inside of the Oxford Community Center hosts a free open swim this Sunday from 12pm-5pm. All ages are welcome. And an optional free water safety education training is available to attend from 3-3:25pm. Great River Water Park is located at 1078 Iglehart Ave, St Paul, MN. Note: this is the last free open swim of the season!




Skating, socializing, eating and shopping – with an emphasis on Black business – will take place at the Oscar Johnson Arena, this Sunday, April 28, from 12pm-6pm. BlackOUT events center the celebration of Black Excellence, and engage the community back into the fresh spring air. Skating is free and open to all ages. Food and merchandise will be available for purchase. The arena is located at 1039 De Courcy Circle, St Paul, MN.

Presented by Bossey Girl Fashion Boutique, the Jungle Enchantment Spring 2024 Fashion Show is a showcase of the shop’s latest trends and designs from its spring/summer collection. The show will take place on Sunday, April 28th, at 121 Washington Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55401. And the theme of the show focuses on diversity, sporting looks from casual to formal, and beyond. Doors open at 5 pm, and the show starts at 5:30 pm. Admission is $25




This Saturday, April 27, Hennepin Healthcare is prioritizing diversity with this career fair at the Clinic & Specialty Center Pharmacy (715 South 8th Street, Level 1, Minneapolis). Resumes and BIPOC encouraged, this event takes place 10am - 1pm.

BIPOC Improv Jam at Huge Theater

The annual BIPOC Improv Jam is this Sunday from 4-6pm. The jam is for all ages, free of charge, and no experience is required, however this event is open to BIPOC only. While HUGE Theater is known for its performances, this specific event is curated to get you on your feet and engaged in improvisation directly. BIPOC folks who are curious to learn more about improv are welcome to come watch.
